We specialize in modern day comic books, graphic novels, and manga and offer a file subscription service that is accessible from our website to help ensure people never miss an issue. We also carry a selection of older comics (aka back issues), toys, statues, apparel, posters, board games, CCGs (MtG, Pokemon, Adventure Time), CMGs (Heroclix, Star Trek Attack Wing), Gundams, art books, art instruction books (and paper) and comic storage supplies. We have a dedicated, award-winning, ALL-AGES section featuring more than 50 different titles, from mainstream superheroes to Archie, Asterix to Princeless, Oz to Three Thieves, and much more. We also have large section spotlighting locally self-published comics, focusing on Alberta creators but featuring books from across Canada. All of our in-stock product can be searched and ordered directly from our website. We mail out world wide. We also specialize in custom orders. If we can bring it in, we will bring it in just for you.
History
Established in 1999.
Happy Harbor was founded in Edmonton as an office based, special order service. In October of 2000, the first retail location was opened in Jasper, Alberta, which relocated to Edmonton in February of 2005. In 2007, 2 more locations were opened in Edmonton and in 2008 we acquired our friend and partner, Metropolis Toys. In November of 2011, the main store relocated to its current location and all the stores were merged back into one to become the largest supplier of modern comics in Western Canada.
