Our hands-on academy is located in an actual downtown San Francisco bar, here students learn by using fresh ingredients and tasting premium spirits. Whether you’re a novice cocktail enthusiast or a seasoned industry professional, our curriculum is shaped to cover all aspects in the art of bartending.
History
Established in 2013.
SoMa Bartending has the honor of being the premier bartending program in San Francisco.The company was established in 2015 by founder Jeremy Vassey who wanted to teach world-class cocktail making with an easy going approach in a proper learning environment. Paired with Bar Basic as the setting students learn classic and modern cocktails with a twist.We were able to create a bartending program with something different in mind. Keeping close the concept of hands-on instruction, current and future bartenders get trained in a real bar with real alcohol.After Founding SFBA (San Francisco Bartending Academy) in 2013, SoMa Bartending was the next step in evolution. This progam has trained over 1000 bartenders in Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area.
