Established in 2005.
Tracy, Alvita Care’s founder, never planned on entering the home health care industry. She was initially employed on Wall Street. One day, her grandmother’s needs changed everything. Upon graduating from the University of Iowa, Tracy relocated to New York City for a career in finance. For the next several years, They would visit each other every so often, but as the years’ pass, she soon realized that her grandmother needed senior home care. On several visits to Iowa, Tracy met with a home care company to help her grandmother. Initially, it was everyday tasks like errands and checking in, but soon the needs of daily living grew. Tracy soon realized that managing senior home care is a second full-time occupation. These experiences motivated Tracy to quit her job on Wall Street and bring what she learned about senior care management to New York City, where it is needed. To this day, Tracy still believes in the idea of “Care without Compromise.”
