History
Established in 1993.
Originally from the tropical island of Malaysian Borneo, the brothers developed a certain love for expressing themselves through art, each in their own way, whether it be through sketching, painting or photographs. After immigrating to Alberta the brother’s found themselves captivated by the mysterious Northern Lights, the majesty of the Rocky Mountains, and the beauty of the Canadian landscapes, and soon found new inspiration to continue in their artistic pursuits. The Wong brothers established Kamena Gallery in 1993 to suport local artist’s through custom framing. While Kamena was originally run by the oldest two brothers, Willie and Wei have since moved on to further themselves in their own artist endevours. Kamena is still dedicated to supporting local artist and photographers but is now run by Kee and Ting.
