When I first came back to the Bay Area as a young man in my early twenties I worked largely as a union painter. I was a hard worker and I watched everything my superiors did and followed their lead. I quickly became a foreman. When my son was born I realized I needed to give him more stability and greater opportunity; that’s when McCartney Painting was formally started. My son, Clancy, just turned 20-years-old in May 2009 and is doing well at Du Paul University in Chicago.
