Back in ’85 I entered my first Triathlon and after a good swim was first out on my K-Mart Targa road bike. Needless to say I got my doors blown off cranking that tank into the transition. The next day I was in my Local Bike Shop and walked away the proud owner of a Bianchi 12 speed. Three months and several Triathlons later the LBS ordered me a Vitus Carbon Road bike (the first in the city with index shifting). To pay for the bike the owner of the shop hired me and I worked the rest of the summer on the tools supporting my addiction.
A few years, dozens of Triathlons and a handful of Mountain Bike races later I moved to Sherwood Park and decided to start my own business fixing bikes out of the laundry room. After a couple of years the basement was over run with bikes and I decided I had better build a shop. Up went a garage and in the blink of an eye it was full and by year 16 the property was pushed to the limit. 13 years later, four MSG locations and thousands of loyal customers!
