World Affairs offers a public forum where diverse audiences engage in dialogue that can inform their actions. Policymakers, business executives, philanthropists, academics, students, civic leaders and an attentive public join in their programs to listen, learn, discuss and debate-deepening understanding and finding solutions.
Established in 1947.
Founded in 1947 following the San Francisco conference that established the United Nations, World Affairs’s heritage is one we take very seriously. We embrace the commitment to provide a forum where leaders of all sectors can join more than 18,000 engaged community participants to engage on issues of international importance. Each of us is aware of the ways in which international issues touch upon our daily lives. In the past decades, we have hosted hundreds of foreign heads of states, and thousands of leading government officials, journalists and intellectuals, each of whom reminds us of the ways in which we can influence and are affected by international events. World Affairs is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization.
